GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Takada is a private Buddhist school considered to be the most reputable school, if not one of the most reputable, in the prefecture. The 150 teachers and staff provide the students with a religious and academic background. Many of the teachers are former students; some, including most administration staff, are also priests. The same teachers usually remain with the same students through to graduation. At present there are two Programmes - a 6 year course and a 3 year course (see below). In the second year of High School, students must choose between an Arts stream and a Science stream for the final year of study. Takada also has a full-time Assistant English Teacher, Homestay and Exchange Programme.
